Cow Carpet®

Cow Carpet® is a nonwoven geotextile that can help farmers deal with mud. Mud is a major problem for beef and dairy producers. The fall and spring rains reduce cattle areas to mucky, dangerous areas for their herds. The animal's hooves sink into the mud, ice balls form on their legs and incidences of mud fever increase. The bottom line: The overall performance of the herd is reduced and money is lost.

To reduce or eliminate the problems associated with mud, we recommend US 180NW Cow Carpet®, a 7 oz nonwoven geotextile. US 180NW Cow Carpet® meets the Natural Resources Conservation Service Class 1 Nonwoven Geotextile Fabric Specification.

Applications for Cow Carpet® include exercise rinks, water troughs, stream crossings and banks, pond entrances and exits, feed bunks and paddocks. This is the same type of geotextile used by civil engineers in major construction projects such as roads, foundations and drainage systems.
