Installation Guideline: EnviroGrid® Cellular Confinement Tendon Perforations

Tendon Perforation Drilling Procedure

1. Perforations for the insertion of tendons through the EnviroGrid® panel can be easily done with a hand-held drill with a 3/4 inch drill bit.
2. Place the collapsed panel flat on the ground. Using a grease pencil, mark the spots where the holes will be made per the tendon placement design. The holes should be placed in the middle of the cell wall width and not perforate any of the welds. When marking, make sure that you are not on the intermediate weld which is not visible just by looking at the top of the collapsed panel. The intermediate weld is in between the visible welds.
3. Drill the holes making sure that you drill through the entire panel.
