J-DRain Composite Drains

US Fabrics is proud to offer the J-DRain line of composite drains. These pre-fabricated composite drains, sometimes referred to as dimpleboards, strip drains or sheet drains, are an excellent alternative to traditional aggregate and geotextile wrapped pipe systems.

J-DRain prefabricated drainage systems (PDS) consist of two parts: a geosynthetic filter fabric and a molded plastic core. Geotextile fabrics have outstanding water flow. The fabric is attached to the core, providing excellent drainage while preventing the backfill from entering the core channel. The core is made of high strength plastic that withstands the type of abuse incurred during backfilling. Compared to traditional systems, J-DRains cost less, install faster and work better!

J-DRain Sheet Drains

The high strength core in J-DRain Sheet Drains protects waterproofing and damp-proofing from damage during backfilling and freeze/thaw cycles.

J-DRain Sheet Drains rapidly lower hydrostatic head pressure by quickly transporting the water away from the wall down to the collection system at the base of the wall. The filter fabric prevents clogging by inhibiting migration of the soil fines, but allows water to enter the spacing in the dimpled core. The result is a highly effective and efficient drainage system.

 J-DRain Sheet Drains are manufactured in lightweight, easy to handle rolls and eliminate the need for heavy equipment. J-DRain Sheet Drains offer predictable performance, providing excellent flow rates with most soil types and are tested per ASTM standards.

J-DRain SWD

J-DRain SWD (site water drainage) strip drains offer superior drainage to traditional pipe and stone foundation & french drain systems and eliminates the concerns about gravel quality and soil fines. J-DRain pre-fabricated drains have an 80% open area compared to the 1%-3% open area for 4" perforated pipe and have a planar flow capacity in excess of 30 gal./min./lin. ft. 

J-Drains lower installation costs. They install 50% faster than traditional systems, decrease the amount of soils removed from the job site and eliminate the hassle of scheduling and waiting for delivery of gravel. The flexible, lightweight rolls are easy to install, offer customized fitting and eliminate the need for heavy equipment.

J-DRain SWD drains high compressive strength (8,500 - 11,000 psf) and customized fitting ensure solid connections, long-term effectiveness and reliability.

J-DRain strip drains are ICC & NES approved nationwide for residential foundations (#NER-636).

J-Spray Adhesive

J-DRain J-Spray 50 is an industrial-grade aerosol adhesive in a portable spray system that is formulated to adhere to protection courses, drainage composites, insulation, air and vapor barrier membranes, waterproofing membranes and thru-wall flashings to a variety of substrates. It contains no chlorinated solvents and offers an excellent alternative to methylene chloride based products. J-Spray 50 is a fast and economical solution to most building envelope component adhesive requirements.

US Fabrics offers the adhesive, spray guns, spray gun tips and hoses. A tank of adhesive will typically cover 2,500 - 3,000 SF depending on application rate.

J-DRain Greenroof

US Fabrics offers J-Drain GRS green roof system. J-DRain GRS consists of a high-strength dimpled core and a layer of geotextile filter fabric/protection media on the top and bottom. The dimples create an area to store some of the excess rainwater. Most water passes through into the roof's drainage system. The top filter fabric allows excess water to pass, holds the planting media in place and acts as a root barrier. The bottom layer of fabric acts as a protection media for the roofing membrane.
