The DRAFT of the new 2012 North Carolina geotextile Specifications reads: "Use geotextile fabrics that meet Article 4.1 of AASHTO M 288 and have been evaluated by NTPEP. Use prefabricated geocomposite drain strips consisting of a non-woven polypropylene geotextile bonded to one side of a high density polyethylene or polystyrene drainage core, e.g., sheet drain."

However, these specifications also include non-AASHTO products.

Strata Geogrids are evaluated and approved for use in NCDOT projects. See link below.
