Tennessee DOT bases their geotextile specifications on AASHTO M288: "Geotextile material shall meet the requirements of AASHTO M 288 as called for on the plans." However, it is not clear which AASHTO M 288 version Tennessee DOT is referencing. Type II & V geotextiles are basically special provisions. Below are US Fabrics' geotextile products approved for use by Tennessee DOT, listed by their application (Click on the red product name for a data sheet):
