The Vermont DOT Standard Specifications state regarding geotextiles: "Where the Contract requires that materials conform to AASHTO or ASTM specifications, the latest publications and all modifications thereto in effect on the date of the Invitation for Bids shall apply."
However, in the case of Underdrain Trench Lining, the Vermont DOT geotextile Standard Specifications do not follow AASHTO M288. Below are US Fabrics' geotextile products that meet the Vermont DOT Standard Specifications, listed by their application (Click on the red product name for a data sheet):
