Natural & Synthetic Turf Protection

US Fabrics nonwoven geotextiles are used by professional sports teams, sod farms and entertainment companies throughout the U.S. as field turf protection for existing sports field surfaces when concerts, alternate sporting events, rodeos or motor sports events are held.

Many sports venues in the U.S. generate additional revenue by utilizing their facilities for alternate events. This requires placing a material on top of the existing field or playing surface to protect it from wear and tear during the event. Damaging the existing playing surface could result in time-consuming clean-up and surface reconditioning or expensive surface repairs and sod replacement.

The use of a nonwoven protection layer before placing sod, dirt or panels protects the athletic field surface from direct weight and pedestrian traffic while allowing air and water to pass through to the turf. These fabrics are laid down directly on the field and then flooring panels, seating, stage supports, dirt or new sod are placed directly on top.

Insulative, permeable nonwoven fabrics are also an excellent solution to foot traffic during a concert or other event. These fabrics can be placed on the existing sports surface and will withstand direct foot traffic and even light vehicle traffic directly on the fabric. Clean up time is reduced as the fabric can often be rolled up with all the trash remaining inside the fabric.
