Reinforced Geomembranes

Reinforced geomembranes are created by coating or laminating a woven tape HDPE scrim core. They are the most flexible type of liner and are strong and durable, combining LDPE's chemical and UV resistance with a high-strength, tear-resistant inner woven scrim. These geomembranes are sometimes referred to as "woven coated liners."

Two Methods of Manufacturing

Laminated or Reinforced Composite Polyethylene Geomembranes (RCPE) are multi-layered liners manufactured from an HDPE woven scrim core laminated on both sides with an engineered film.

Coated Woven Polyethylene (WCPE) geomembranes are made from a woven HDPE scrim core with a uniform coating of molten LDPE compound applied to both sides.

  • Puncture & abrasion resistant construction
  • Woven core provides excellent dimensional stability
  • Will not crease or develop stress cracking when folded like HDPE
  • Non-toxic, no PVC or other hazardous materials used
  • Excellent UV, ozone & oxidation resistance
  • After PVC, the easiest liners to install

Installation is fairly easy, compared to HDPE and LLDPE, with single or double sided tapes used to join panels together in the field.
