Geotextiles & DOT Specifications

JAN 2019

TXDOT

US FABRICS GEOTEXTILES ARE ON THE TXDOT MPL “Silt Fence, Filter Fabric, and Fabric Underseal”. US FABRICS IS ALSO NTPEP/AASHTO COMPLIANT.

Texas DOT does not follow AASHTO M288. They have a Type 1 (4.5 oz) and Type 2 (8 oz) nonwoven geotextile filter fabric and an underseal fabric. For some reason they specify Tex-616-J as the test method for weight. The industry standard is ASTM D-5261.

Texas DOT also has a standard specification for base stabilization geogrids. Below are US Fabrics' geotextile products meeting Texas DOT standard specifications, listed by their application.
